APPLICATION PROCESS
At DEAN Adventure Camps, our hiring process is designed to ensure the best fit for you and our team. Here are the seven steps:

Step 1: Application
- Submit an application for the position you are best suited for, include your resume, and answer all applicable screening questions.
- You'll hear back within 1-2 business days about next steps

Step 2: Interview
-
If you are chosen as a candidate, we will schedule a 45-minute Zoom call with your — camera on — to learn more about you and share what we’re looking for and see if we're a mutual match

Bring your questions—we want this to be a dialogue!

COUNSELORS:
-
Lead Counselors ONLY will be asked to record and submit a demonstration lesson before your interview.
-
Assistant and Junior Counselors can submit a demonstration lesson, which is NOT required.
-

All other positions will NOT be required to submit a demonstration lesson, but leadership roles WILL be required to submit a writing sample upon scheduling their interview.

Step 3: Decision
-
You will receive a decision within 1-2 business days.
-
If you are offered a position, you will receive an email with a Proposal of Employment outlining pay, dates, location, and contingencies.

Step 4: Reference Checks & Contingencies
-
You will be asked to submit the new hire form and provide 2-3 professional references that we will contact.

Your employment is contingent on the return of these references in good standing.

Step 5: Offer & Onboarding
-
After successful reference checks, you will be asked to sign an official offer letter to join our team!

You will complete onboarding tasks such as:

Completing background checks

Reviewing and signing all necessary documents

Completing all training (online lessons/quizzes, Zoom webinars, etc.)
